Is your son or daughter interested in representing Willmar as a member of the Willmar Fests Royal Family? Willmar Fests is pleased to invite you to participate in the “Willmar Fests Junior Royalty Event” as part of our 2024 Willmar Fests celebration.
All students completing the second grade in the Willmar School District are eligible to send in an application. A random drawing will be made by the Willmar Fests Junior Royalty committee for up to 24 finalists (up to 12 boys and up to 12 girls) Parents will be notified if your child is selected to be a finalist.

Wednesday, June 19, 2024 – Coronation at 6:00 pm (line up at 5:30 pm)
held at Rice Park during the Kiwanis Kids Day from 4:00pm to 7:pm
The “Prince” and “Princess” will be randomly chosen.
Willmar Fests “Junior Royalty” duties include:
Grande Day Parade – June 22nd at 10:30 am – (ride in a convertible)
Parade line up at 10:00 am
Willmar Fests Events – newly crowned Junior Royalty will be asked to attend other events throughout the week. Junior Royalty will receive a list of parades to attend for the remainder of the “reigning” year. Parents will need to provide transportation and supervision for their child. We ask that the parents stay by the float until it moves and also have someone at the end of the parade route to pick up your child once the float gets there.
